Bouctouche Dunes at Night

The Bouctouche Dunes have a lot to offer and I'm just starting to scratch the surface of them. It stretches out 12 kilometres across Bouctouche Bay. On this trip, I ventured out around a kilometre or two past the end of the boardwalk, seeing if I could find something interesting and new. I stumbled upon some remnants of an old pier still poking out of the water, a great opportunity for some long exposure magic.

I stayed out until after dark, watching the Milky way rise over PEI on one side and the Dunes on the other. It was a pretty spectacular sight! The walk back in pitch black was pretty crazy - next time I'll have to remember a headlamp!

Soon I'd like to make the full trek out to the end of the dune...
